Inground Pools

Inground pools are a valuable investment for your home or property. Whether you’re looking to relax in your backyard, or want to add a unique feature to your sunroom or patio, the permanence of an inground pool can be a very valuable opportunity. Inground pools vary in type and materials used. When selecting the inground pool for your home, you will be choosing from vinyl liner pools, gunite pools, fiberglass pools, and finishing with a variety of accessories including pool tile. An inground pool can be surrounded by a deck or patio for an attractive effect, and luxury options can further accessorize the pool with fountains, waterfalls, gazebos, or installation of a pool spa.

Fiberglass pools are made from a reinforced plastic material, and can be molded into a specific shape. Pre-fabricated pools are generally cheaper to purchase and install, but customized styles are also available. Installation involves digging a hole, lying plumbing, and backfilling the area around the pool.

Vinyl liner pools offer many conventional in-ground designs, and can be installed very simply. They will not need to be replaced for at least 10 years, and can be much less expensive than other materials. Gunite pools are the most popular pool styles, and involve digging a hole and adding mixture of cement, gunite, and sound around reinforcing rods. These pools are finished with plaster and are highly durable.

A poured-concrete pool consists of sprayed concrete material around the reinforcing rods. This is not a popular style of inground pools simply because of construction and maintenance costs. Walls are constructed with concrete blocks, but the filtration and plumbing systems remain the same.

Many inground pools are built as a kit that can include various accessories including lights, railings, and fixtures. Wall kits can include the panels, coping equipment, braces, and rods to assemble the frame of the pool Filter kits will include the sand, pumps, base, and cartridges needed to create a high-quality filtration system. Plumbing kits will include al the valves, pipes, and hardware to install the correct plumbing specifications for the pool. Accessory kits may include electrical boxes, ladders, lights, and rails. Pool liners can also come packaged together to include rods, bars, and the vinyl liner to make installation simple and convenient.

A residential indoor pool is a popular addition to any modern home, and can offer the convenience and luxury of having an in-home pool. Whether the pool is used for exercise or relaxation, it can quickly become the highlight of a day’s activity.
